For approved change-of-mind returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Where the part supplied matches your order and product description, purchasing the clamp for an incompatible bike or deciding the part is no longer required is treated as a change-of-mind return, rather than a shipping or fulfilment error.

Correct Clamp Adjustment Is Important

A quick-release clamp must be correctly tensioned before riding.

When properly adjusted, closing the lever should require firm hand pressure and the lever should sit securely against the bike when fully closed.

If the seat post can move, twist or slide after the lever has been closed, do not allow your child to ride the bike until the clamp has been correctly adjusted.

How to Adjust the Clamp

When installing or adjusting the clamp:

• Open the quick-release lever
• Position the seat or compatible component at the required height
• Adjust the clamp tension as required
• Close the lever firmly until it is fully secured
• Check that the seat or handlebar cannot twist or move
• Never exceed the minimum or maximum insertion markings on the seat post or handlebar

Check It Regularly

Quick-release clamps should be inspected as part of normal bike maintenance.

Before riding, periodically check that:

• The lever closes firmly
• The clamp hardware is tight
• The seat post does not rotate or slide
• The clamp is free from cracks or visible damage
• All associated bike components remain secure

Replace a damaged clamp rather than continuing to ride with a component that cannot securely hold the seat or handlebars in position.

For a young balance-bike rider, adjust the saddle so your child can sit comfortably with both feet flat on the ground and a slight bend in their knees.
